Hi friends!

As my internship at City Paper comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on how much this incredible experience has shaped me. I've come to find out that City Paper is not just a company, but rather a community—a family. From the moment I walked into the door in early February, I felt like I was already a part of it. I was immediately welcomed with a coffee and an overflow of compliments and appreciation for my presence.

I didn't know what I was getting myself into, and I definitely put this team's patience to the test with my nagging questions. Nevertheless, I was constantly approached with grace. City Paper has consistently given me space to learn, grow, and stumble along the way. The world of packaging and promotional items was entirely new to me, but let's just say it has cured all of my online shopping addictions, and now I find myself constantly thinking, "This would make great branded merch."

I've come to realize that promotional items are more than just branded merchandise; they serve as conversation starters, help build the brand, and create mini-experiences. Being involved in the process from brainstorming to execution has deepened my appreciation for the work that City Paper does.

What has continued to resonate with me is the unique culture of City Paper: one of honesty, realness, collaboration, and creativity. The team's ability to make me laugh, listen to my rants, and include me in projects has meant more to me than they probably realize. The people here have set a high standard for what a strong, supportive company culture looks like, and I can attest that it makes all the difference.

This experience has gone far beyond building my resume—it's helped shape who I am, both professionally and personally. It's given me fun, meaningful friendships, and lessons that I will always cherish. I am deeply grateful for the moments spent in Grace's office, discussing everything and anything, for the laughter Alice and I shared while filming reels, and for the incredible selflessness of everyone in the office.

As I prepare to part ways, I want to assure you that City Paper will always hold a special place in my heart. If you happen to see me eyeing trendy merch and imagining where a logo might go, know that City Paper is still at the forefront of my mind. This isn't a goodbye, but a 'see you later'!

XOXO,

Grace Davis
