Recently I read an article entitled, “Average Americans Can’t Afford to Buy Green” on Bloomberg.com**. The article made me think about what the public perception about Green Products are all about verses how innovative and accessible Earth Friendly or Green products are to our industry. There seems to be a disconnect.
As I scoured the showroom floor of literally hundreds of vendors with the latest and greatest promo items in Las Vegas this year, I was on the hunt for- sustainable, green, earth-friendly, recyclable, purposeful promo! And I will tell you- MOST of our vendors are addressing this issue. Or at the very least, they offer Green Products, if not an entire line of Green Products. We work with vendors who comply with regulations that pertain to California Prop 65 codes, environmental compliances, and even fair-trade partnerships and social tractability.
We have savy, educated, sophisticated buyers in our industry. They know that their companies strive to be good stewards of our environment, and consumers are no different. Whether they are retailers, who are giving away a non-woven tote bag with purchase, or selling reusable straws with their own artwork printed on the carrying case… there is hope for the average American to buy or be gifted sustainable products.
We are literally 30 days from this years’ celebrated Earth Day. (April 22nd) This may not even be on your radar. But it’s on ours. Here are several green, eco-friendly promo items that we love.
